TASTING NOTES.>>This wine is fermented both in cask (60%) and in stainless steel (40%). Half of the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation under strictly controlled conditions, to maintain fruity aromas and encourage complexity in the wine. Pale greeny-gold in color, its aroma combines butteriness, vanilla and tropical fruit. A fresh wine; fruity, with good body and balance; creamy and complex mid-palate, with an elegant finish.

A young Merlot with six months American oak aging. Elegant, refined with marked fruitiness and spicy black pepper: irresistible to Merlot lovers; harmonious and soft on the palate. Aurelio decided to add 15% Cabernet Sauvignon, to marry better with the oak, adding structure and finesse that also gives the wine ageing potential. Denomination of Origin: Colchagua Valley.

Intense ruby-red color. The nose has layer upon layer of caramel, cinnamon and candy with hints of mint, but without any dominance of oak. A spicy, full-flavored wine, with good body, fruit and firm tannins and an engaging strong finish. Drink now or cellar for a few years.Denomination of Origin: Colchagua Valley

A crisp and fruity wine. Light yellow-green color; bright and clear. The aroma shows pure and intense Sauvignon Blanc character, showing the potential of its cold-zone origin in coastal Leyda Valley, where the morning fogs and low temperatures prolong the hanging period.

A leader among Chilean Cabernets, aged for 12 months in French fine grain Allier oak barrels. Intense ruby color, with blackcurrant, chocolate and cigar box aromas; balanced with well-integrated oak. Great complexity of flavors in the mouth; mid-palate is full-bodied and balanced, with remarkably long finish. A superb wine ready to drink now, it can also be chosen for cellaring for future enjoyment. Our first 1987 vintage was singled out by the UK’s Wine magazine as one of the best 10-year-old red wines in the world.

Delicious, full-bodied, complex and creamy in the mid-palate, our Alpha Chardonnay is one of the few Chilean whites wines that will improve with age. The 1998 vintage was selected as ‘World Champion Chardonnay’ by Slow Food of Italy, after simultaneous tastings in 26 cities around the world, covered live by BBC-TV in London. Grapes are sourced from the renowned white wine area, Casablanca Valley. Fermented and aged in French oak barrels for one year; 40% of the wine undergoes secondary ‘malolactic fermentation’ to enhance buttery flavors. A monthly stirring of the wine or batonage enhances flavor and aroma complexity.
