COGNAC

Name after the town Cognac in France, these brandy must be made from a certain type of grapes, growing only in these part of France. Cognac is well known to be the best brandy of the world: smooth with a heady scent.

The brandy must be twice distilled in copper pot stills and aged at least two years in French oak barrels. Cognac matures in the same way as whiskies and wine when aged in barrels, and most cognacs are aged considerably longer than the minimum legal requirement.
